Ferrari 400i

The history of the 400i goes back to the 365 GT4 2+2 presented in 1972. Its bodyshell was modified in 1976 with new skirts and four round rear lights instead of six, becoming the 400 GT with a now 4.8-litre instead of 4.4-litre V12 engine. A further three years later, the twin carburettors were dropped in favour of a Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection system, after which the name became 400i. Both the 400 GT and the 400i were noticeably often ordered with automatic transmission.
