Alfa Romeo Alfasud

The Alfasud is a compact-class vehicle manufactured by the Italian company Alfa Romeo between spring 1972 and mid-1983. It was first presented to the public in November 1971 at the Turin Motor Show. The Alfasud featured a number of technical innovations and was met with great interest. For its production, the Alfa Romeo plant in Pomigliano d'Arco near Naples was fundamentally rebuilt and significantly expanded. Its location in southern Italy was the inspiration for the name "Alfasud".
