Maserati Shamal

Named after a Mesopotamian wind, the new Shamal was the most extreme derivative of the Biturbo model family. The Shamal's greatest innovation was found under the bonnet: the V6 had been replaced by a completely new twin-turbo V8 engine with four camshafts and 32 valves. It was paired with a new 6-speed gearbox. The Shamal's design inspired the later Ghibli. It is one of the most extreme production cars of all time and was intended for experienced drivers only.
