The Maserati Indy, unveiled at the 1969 Geneva Motor Show, was a tribute to the two victories of the Maserati 8CTF racing car at the famous "Indianapolis 500" in 1939 and 1940. The new car was designed by Vignale to bridge the gap between the Ghibli and the Mexico.
