Ferrari BB 512i

In 1981, technical changes were made. Due to tightened emissions standards in the USA, the carburettors gave way to mechanical manifold injection, which is why the name 512 BB was changed to 512 BBi (for iniezione). At the same time, a light facelift was carried out: the bonnet received body-coloured air outlet grilles, wider tyres, new rear fog lights and parking lights. The front grille was also made narrower. However, the official BBi sales brochure primarily promoted the now better-ventilated backrests of the leather seats. With the introduction of the Ferrari Testarossa, production of the 512 BBi ended in 1984.
